In this first phase of the project, we had a presentation/workshop about the social innovation aspect of the whole project. It was a good discussions with various administrative departments of the City of Dubrovnik (Administrative Departments for Education, Sports, Social Welfare and Civil Society; Urbanism, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection; European Funds, Regional and International Cooperation; DURA City Of Dubrovnik Development Agency),
We also had a great visit and excellent discussion with the Institute for Marine and Coastal Research of the University of Dubrovnik, among other local institutions. From a research perspective, we are glad to have met dr. sc. Marijana Hure – a biologist from the Institute for Marine and Coastal Research. It was great to have some shoulder to shoulder brainstorming with a Dubrovnik scientist who is dealing with these environment issues on an everyday basis. It was also great to spend time together and listen to the underwater sounds in the Dubrovnik harbour.
